What is Owlsplit?
Owlsplit is a free web app for splitting shared expenses with friends, on trips, dinners or in a shared house. Everyone logs what they paid, Owlsplit works out exactly who owes whom, and friends settle up by scanning each other’s GCash, Maya or bank QR code. It is made by OwlOpsCo in the Philippines.

Questions
Is Owlsplit free?
Yes. Splitting, settling up, joining trips and payment QR codes are free, with 3 receipt scans a month. Premium is a one-time ₱10 for unlimited scans, statements, insights, live exchange rates and monthly repeating expenses.
Do my friends need to sign up?
No. Anyone can open the app and join your trip with its 8-character code. An account is optional and keeps your trips on all your devices.
What if everyone ordered different things?
Split item by item: add each dish and tap who had it, leave shared dishes and the service charge on Everyone, and type each person’s own orders. Everyone’s total adds up to the bill.
Can friends pay me with GCash or Maya?
Yes. Add your GCash, Maya or bank QR code and it shows next to what people owe you, so they can scan and pay, then mark it paid.
Is it only for trips?
No. Use it for any shared spending: dinners, a shared house, rent and bills, events or a barkada outing.
How does Owlsplit work out who owes whom?
For every expense, each person who shared it owes the person who paid their share. Between two people those amounts cancel out, so each pair has at most one payment, and every payment traces back to the expenses behind it.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. It runs in any phone or computer browser, and you can add it to your home screen to open it like an app. There is nothing to download from an app store.
Can I use other currencies?
Yes. Each trip has its own currency and amounts are never silently converted. Premium adds live exchange rates so you can see totals in your home currency.
Is my data private?
Only people who join your trip can see it. Premium payments go through PayMongo, so card and e-wallet details never reach Owlsplit, and you can delete your account at any time.
